The Reader

A national charity, The Reader is bringing a reading revolution so that everyone can experience and enjoy great literature, which it believes is a tool for helping humans survive and live well.

By reading with people in community centres, libraries, care homes, hospitals, prisons, recovery settings and workplaces, The Reader works to help improve wellbeing, reduce isolation and build stronger communities.

Everything the charity does, from its weekly Shared Reading groups, through to its social enterprises and publications, creates warm and connected communities by bringing people together and books to life.
