Everything the NSPCC does protects children today, prevents abuse tomorrow and works to make child abuse a thing of the past

Childhood shapes who we become. Abuse never should.

The NSPCC is the leading children's charity in the UK, fighting to end child abuse and neglect in every community. They help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find new ways of preventing abuse from happening in the first place.

By investing in innovative services and solutions that no one else does, the NSPCC has pioneered ways of working that combine practice, policy and research to deliver the most effective programmes. Through their network of Service Centres across the country, they support thousands of vulnerable children every year, and help families going through difficult times.

They push the government to change the law to keep children safe, and they visit thousands of primary schools, empowering millions of children with the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe from abuse and neglect.

They also run Childline – the free 24-hour helpline and online chat service - giving children and young people a safe and confidential space to talk about their concerns, be listened to, and ask for advice and support. Last year, they delivered counselling sessions to over a quarter of a million children about everything from sexual abuse to mental health problems.

But all this is only possible with your support. Every pound raised, every petition you sign, every minute of your time, will help make sure they can fight for every childhood.
